Thanks You So Much!
First is first: thanks to everyone for your purchases, support, emails and comments! I love hearing about your passion for the story and your interest in the artifacts. It really makes my day to get a personal email from people enjoying this venture.

The Upcoming Fendle Warrior Heart
The Fendle Warrior Heart is my current obsession. Every night when I get home from work I have my dinner and get to work. I’ve gone through a couple versions and have found that keeping the piece visually balanced has been the most difficult part. Well, other than that darn wing!

What you see in the first picture is the “stone” (which is made from resin and coloring).  The second picture shows the rest of the model, made from polymer clay. The “stone” and the “claw” (not yet pictured) will be set in the “wood” (also made with resin) while the wing will be “carved”.

Once I have this design to where I really like it I’ll bake the piece without the stone and the claw to harden it for the mold process, which is really fun.  Again, feel free to let me know what you think! :)

A Note to those who Have Purchased
I have a favor to ask anyone that has purchased a viewer, Limited or Unlimited. If you are able to and wouldn’t mind leaving me feedback on Etsy.com for the purchase I would greatly appreciate it! It helps me to establish myself not just on Etsy but with other TalysMana readers. Everyone wants to know they can trust the person they are giving their hard-earned money to. If you could help be gain this trust, it would be wonderful.

However I will bribe you :)   Anyone that has left me feedback by Monday the 15th of February on Etsy.com will be entered into a drawing.  The winner will be announced  Tuesday the 16th (early morning on Twitter, at night on this blog) and will get 50% off of one item in the TalysMana shop.  No expiration, no limitations.

Again, thanks so much for your time and interest!

Rebecca

Yes, I’m jazzed about the new design, too. Have not yet figured out how to leave feedback on Etsy, but I’ll get it done.

I’m glad you like it. I have a feeling that it’s going to be one of my favorite things I have ever made. I just hope that it comes out the way I intend it to.

I love reading people’s process too so when both my mom and my husband suggested I show a little behind-the-scenes it was like a slap on the forehead. This isn’t that detailed but then again I don’t want to bore the uninterested.

I hope you like how it turns out :)

Regarding processes, Holly mentioned chasing butterflies – which got me to thinking.
At the moment, my process seems more like that of an apprentice bricklayer trying to build a tower that will give him access to new heights, new worlds. At the end of some days, I sit back and think, wow, what a nice portion of wall I built. Other days, I’m not so happy. The bricks are lopsided and the lines are not straight, but, I’m only an apprentice, and even though my mentor is chasing butterflies, I still heed her instructions. I resist the urge to go back and tear that section down because the first priority is to finish the tower. I have faith that it will not topple over.
The point is: Holly is chasing butterflies because she already intristically knows how to put the bricks down in a straight line. Another article of faith: when the tower is finished, HTRYN will help me to bend the structure into shape and see the garden (and all the butterflies) inside.

It’s a good thing you keep reminding us about feedback – it always manages to escape my memory. From the pictures so far, the Fendle warrior heart looks like it’s going to be truly amazing. I can’t wait to see (and buy) the finished piece!

If I haven’t already mentioned… I think this is a truly awesome idea

I’m glad you’re not annoyed by the constant reminders, lol. I just don’t know how else to get the feedback. It’s very important.

I hope you like the finished piece. I’ll be updating this blog tonight.

Thanks, my mother comes up with some brilliant sometimes.
