I had to know one was going to show up in this story sooner or later. Mirrors fascinate me…and this time, one is turning out to be a piece in a rather neat little puzzle my subconscious has been unfolding for my amusement over the last few nights.
I think I can see where it’ll end, though I’m not quite sure how I’ll get there yet.
But 503 words. A bit over 20 minutes.
How about you?

I’m creeping back into writing after a big life explosion. 652 words today. My timer didn’t start the second time, so I’m not sure how long it took. Probably around 30 minutes total. It’s yucky stuff. Pure garbage first draft. Reminded me of a Vonnegut quote I read somewhere. To paraphrase: When writing, I feel like an armless, legless man with a crayon in his mouth.
And that’s about how I felt this evening.
My first thousand words or so on the new bad guy. I’m just writing example scenes for now. His personality has already…surprised me.
Holly, the return of your Talysmana updates in my inbox is really getting to me: I even had a dream about Talysmana last night!
Creepy, really creepy, but cool. And yay for mirrors! Mirrors are really one of those things that fascinate me and creep me out more than a little bit.
As for me, took saturday and sunday off, and wrote 603 words on monday 6th September. Time for a weird little subplot about marriage customs for royal bloodlines in this world. I’m having fun, and I know how this subplot ties into the main one, but I don’t know where I’m going exactly with this scene.
You got the same number of words I got tonight.
I am enjoying the new installments to Talysmana. No new words the last few days, had a bad weekend. I got flattened by yet another illness. I am not sure how to even process these events anymore. Pulled out my Bx2 notebook this morning. Will probably have new words in a day or two.
In between the revision and ‘Real Life’, writing 2394 words feels like a guilty pleasure, but sometimes I like to just write and write…and write, until I fall asleep. Besides, my characters are in a heap of trouble, (as usual!) and I’m not quite sure how I’m going to get them out of it.
I’m sure it will work out fine for them,;) and as for me, it looks like I’ll be able to wrap this story up sometime before November 1-just in time for NaNoWriMo.
Sweet. Good word count, and characters in trouble means more story.
Good luck hitting your deadline.
