It took me 839 words, but I got the rest of the chapter, and I LOVE the hook at the end. I kept plugging toward it, not knowing how it was going to end or how I was going to move Will, Kettan, Emerald, and Fred into the next part of the story…
…I just had this idea that Will’s world was the secret. And when a few paragraphs from the end I realized how it was all going to come together, I could barely sit still to type it.
Am posting the chapter into Aweber now so it’ll go out on Monday for folks who are caught up.
Hope you folks have a good writing weekend. I’m off until Sunday night.

The new Talysmana chapter sounds definitely intriguing, Holly! Gotta love it when things get so exciting that you can’t even sit still
184 words today for me, and I ended the current scene. While writing, I realized a couple of unfortunate implications of the last twist (the one about the nature of Mr. Bad Guy), stuff I’ll definitely have to work upon in revision. But still I go on! Oh, the horror stories I could tell about the evils of revising and tinkering before the first draft is done… thankfully I have learned my lesson!
I’m around 47K words now and almost ready to move to the final phase of the book. Now it’s time for a couple of cool scenes that I’ve had in mind right from the beginning.
ah! I almost wish you’d sent it out tonight instead of waiting lol! No words from me, I’ve been doing some character development, and have this strange half insane kick-ass girl show up from nowhere with a connecting history to my other characters … should be interesting … I think :-/
853 words, some from the POV of the sand tiger, first ‘person,’ if a tiger can be described as first person.
I tried first person in another story and Hated It, but this time I was curious what the world would look like through the tiger’s eyes, and I am glad I tried it. It’s someplace I couldn’t go otherwise, maybe that’s why I am finding it so interesting.
Discovered the heroine’s last name, Summerwind-always good to know my character’s names
and that the throne is built from the bones of a mastodon.
Why did no one ever tell me how much FUN writing was, that is until now?!!!
“All the dead talk to me here.”
This chapter is where Will became real for me — I love that his ”story’ world reflects a clinical, yet compassionate way of dealing with the more gruesome aspects of his job.
