So I’m working on extra Fendle Warrior Hearts, getting them done so that I can ship them to my mother for a signature, then have her ship them back so when they’re ordered they’re on a next day trip towards the rightful owners. However, what I wanted to say is that each piece you are getting isn’t only unique because of the beads attached.
If you click on that link it shows you the first Fendle Warrior Heart made, it shows you the model. I keep all the models. That one is now, honestly, my least favorite asthetically. Making each piece is intoxicating. I’m lucky that I’m not working on some assembly line, or the owner of one just pumping out designs for people to make and ship.
“And they’re all made out of ticky-tacky
And they all look just the same.”
Not here. Yes, it’s slower. Yes, designs come out slower because I am still working on other things, other shops, other shipments, customer service. It’s slower because it’s ALL done by ME (and that is REALLY hard, by the way. It’s hard because I can’t read the books I want to read, or veg because there really isn’t an ‘after work time’ right now. It’s all the time and I can’t just stop everything because Ghost Hunters is on or The Royal Tennebaums is on with no advertisements, lol).
Now, I am not perfect and I refer you back to my guarantee: If it Fails Because of Me, I Will Fix it for FREE (just minus the shipping TO me). But I can tell you that I have fallen in love with each piece. Literally every piece that I have made so far, every single one of them I love. I imagine the stories behind them. Some have scars! Some have dents and chips and chunks missing. Some have odd coloring; maybe this is moss, maybe that was blood. Every single piece is something that I am devastatingly proud of and each one is completely unique.
And I just wanted to share that with you. I wanted to let you know that when you get your Fendle Warrior Heart you are getting a piece of me. You’re getting some of my soul’s input and my magic and my hard work.
Now, before I sign off here for the night I have had some requests for more “normal” TalysMana related jewelry; not so artifact-y. I’ve got you covered. I am working on several things right now. The most common requests have been earrings and (weird) cell phone charms. I can’t believe it but I’ve had three separate requests for those.
I want your input too. You can leave it as a comment here or email me at becky@talysmana.com.
Keep things shiny and have a great rest of the week!

I think it is great the way a mother and daughter have teamed up like this on a project! I wish you all the success in the world with this, as well as any future endeavors! I am a Twitter-er as well.
GrizzlyBear53 is the user-name I have there. I follow both of you on Twitter. Do you “do” Facebook?
Dawn, thanks so much! I’ll follow you on Twitter, and we do. Just look up our names respectively and you’ll find us!
This is such a beautiful post, you clearly have every iota the same passion and drive to create the things you love as your mother. What a duo!
I’m tempted to put an order in for one of these, even if my shipping would be …considerably…further than most.
WandersNowhere, yes. I believe it comes partially from genetics but mostly how she raised us as kids. All the passionate endeavors I took up I had her complete support in. She has always been a very passionate person.
Convo me on Etsy and I can see what the shipping charges would be and see if we can pick a lesser shipping package if it would really be astronomical.

Rebecca — can’t wait to see what you come up with next! Everything is just gorgeous!
Earings would be very cool – and maybe a necklace I could wear to work (stuffy office). As for the other request… I’m not even sure what a cell phone charm is. I think my age is showing.
Stay cool!
Nancy, I’m so glad you like what we’ve had so far. And I am definitely working on things that are more office friendly. That seems to be the biggest issue, even from people that have an artifact or two. They just can’t wear it because of the attention it causes, or the questions. Completely understandable. I think you’ll like the upcoming items
And this is cellphone charm: http://www.favorsbyserendipity.com/main_images/cell_phone_charm.jpg
Cell phone charms? that’s the little nicknack you hang from your cell phone on a strap. Usually completely useless, just there because it’s cute.
Believe me I’m not at all surprised Rebecca would be getting requests for those.
but then again. I live in Japan. My best friend has like forty Hello Kitty charms hanging from her phone.
AND SHE’S NOT EVEN JAPANESE.
Lol, I don’t quite get the Hello Kitty thing, but I adore cellphone charms. I just don’t know how to put one on my droid! Boo! I’ll probably just put one on the case.
